An environmental outing to visit Pennine Lavender in Hoylandswaine (www.penninelavender.co.uk) to see how the organically produced lavender is tended, with a short introduction by the owners and a walk around the farm with opportunity to pick your own lavender, taste some lavender shortbread and lavender jam and buy some lavender goods afterwards. We will then descend upon the Lord Nelson at Hoylandswaine for a friendly discussion about organic produce, local trade and anything else that you fancy.
Meet: Pennine Lavender, Greenbottom Farm, Hoylandswaine S36 7JA (next to the Lord Nelson)
Time: 6.45pm (or 8.15pm at the Lord Nelson, Hoylandswaine)
Cost: £2.75 for lavender trip
Food: The Lord Nelson provides a range of traditional pub meals for around £8, or you can take advantage of their early week offer £5.95, £7.95 or £9.95 for a one/two/three course meal from a selected menu.
Getting there: Stagecoach bus nr 22, 6:25pm from Penistone (Market Place). Arrive 6:32pm (Last bus back 11:16pm, arriving 11:25pm). Car drivers can park in the Lord Nelson car park.
