28 Jun 2007 - Penistone Floods display
A couple of quotes from residents:
"The most worrying thing is that flooding like this has been predicted as part of global warming - but it's not supposed to happen here for years! Is it all going faster than they thought?"
"When I was a child we were taught to look after the Earth. But we haven't cared for it. That's the problem. Everyone has looked to see what they can get out of it. We should be looking to see what we can put back in"

We have been to Penistone Country Market for 4 week's running now, 28th June, July 5th, July 12th, July 19th. We have also taken it into 4 local schools - Penistone St. John's Infants and Juniors, Springvale and Oxspring - for children and parents to look at, at the end of the day. We did an assembly to introduce it at Penistone St. John's Infants. We have had a lot of interest - our estimate is that it has been seen by over 250 people - and it has generated a lot of discussions.
