We have written a pledge which we will be trying to sign as many people in Penistone up to as possible. The aim is that they will agree to try to make changes to their lives which will reduce energy consumption - some big things like not flying in an aeroplane or some very small liike turning off lights. We are aiming to get a 3% reduction each year in line with the Kyoto agreement.

We have written a funding application to enable us to look at energy use in Penistone & District. A baseline survey would be done on approximately 100 homes and businesses. We are trying to find a small group of people who will agree to be monitored on this, possibly with updates in the Chronicle - if you are willing, please tell us on our enquiry form!
Public information will be available on energy saving via website, leaflets etc. The pledge form should also soon be attached to this page.
